He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."
Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator
In a different piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.
"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.
Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge decided to bar the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the LAPD.
