Close to Ninety Flights Connected to Epstein Reportedly Arrived at or Departed from UK Airports
Analysis has found that close to 90 aircraft journeys associated to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein are said to have landed at and took off from UK airports, with some allegedly having onboard British women who claim they were exploited by the convicted sex offender.
Flight Logs Reveal Pattern of Travel
The travel manifests were among a trove of legal papers and files made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been made public over the last year. The investigation uncovered 87 flights tied to Epstein – encompassing many that were not previously known – landing or taking off from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and After Guilty Verdict Travel
Unnamed women were recorded among the individuals flying to and from the UK. Significantly, 15 of these flights involving the UK happened after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a minor.
“This is ‘appalling’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his dealings in the country,” remarked US lawyers representing numerous Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
Evidence from one of the British victims was instrumental in convicting Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. However, that survivor has not received any contact by police in the UK, according to her attorney based in Florida.
In a response, the London's Metropolitan Police indicated they had “not received any additional information that would support reopening the probe.” They added, “Should new and relevant evidence be brought to our attention, including any resulting from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will evaluate it.”
Continuing Document Release and Judicial Decisions
A bill to disclose every document held by the American government in regarding Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to comply. A vast number of papers are anticipated to be released.
Additionally, a US judge decided last week that the department could make public investigative materials from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
